If you'd enjoy great steaks & seafood in a relaxed, rustic atmosphere, then you would enjoy an evening at The Spudder Restaurant. Entrees are served with soup, salad, and potato. Rolls(although not especially notable) are served in an old tin lunchbox. The motif of the restaurant is oilfield and oil company memorabilia, and the restaurant is named after the Spudder oil derrick of Wichita Falls, Texas (on display in front of the restaurant). Pick your steak from a visible meat cooler, then peruse antique oil company signs and read interesting stories from the oil boom days while enjoying your appetizers until the main course arrives. If you prefer seafood, The Spudder serves some of the best broiled shrimp I've eaten anywhere! A full wine list is offered, as well as mixed drinks (they make a great Margarita). We've eaten at The Spudder several times, and though it's a bit pricey for a big family, we've enjoyed the relaxed, unique atmosphere & good food & beverage for an occasional `getaway` date.
